Coins Identification (“we”, “our”, or “the Service”) provides coin identification and estimated market information through our website and mobile application.
Information We Process
When you scan a coin, we process the image or images you choose to upload. We may also process technical information automatically provided by hosting systems, such as IP address, request time, browser or device type, and error logs.
How We Use Information
Information is processed only to:
- identify coins and provide AI-generated results;
- estimate possible market values;
- operate, secure, and improve the Service;
- respond to support requests.
Coin Images and Retention
Coin images are transferred securely using HTTPS.
Our backend keeps uploaded images only as temporary files while an analysis request is being processed. Temporary files are deleted when the request finishes, including when an error occurs. Images are not stored in our hosting database.
Images are transmitted to a third-party AI service provider to perform identification. Processing and possible retention by that provider are governed by its own terms and privacy policies.
Local App and Website Storage
The mobile application may store scan results, collection information, wishlist entries, and image references locally on the user’s device. This information is not synchronized with our server.
The website may use browser local storage to save collection information. Users can remove local records, clear application or browser data, or uninstall the application.
Camera and Photo Access
The mobile application requests camera or photo-library access only when the user chooses to photograph or upload a coin. Only images selected by the user are processed.
Sharing of Information
We do not sell personal information or use coin images for advertising.
Information may be processed by:
- our hosting provider;
- our AI service provider;
- authorities when required by applicable law.
Data Security
We use HTTPS, protected server configuration, restricted API credentials, and temporary-file deletion. However, no internet transmission method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Children
The Service is not specifically directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly request personal information from children.
Your Choices and Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to request access, correction, or deletion of personal information. Because we do not create user accounts and do not permanently store uploaded coin images, we may have no stored image data associated with a request.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when the Service or legal requirements change. The updated effective date will appear at the top of this page.
